School Age

School readiness is more than academic skills. Ongoing research confirms that children’s readiness for school is multi-faceted. It encompasses the whole range of physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills that children need to thrive in a school setting.

Our  program prepares children for school by providing this foundation.

  • Our developmentally appropriate, standards-based curriculum ensures that children have the classroom opportunities to develop academic skills.
  • Our Character Education curriculum concentrates specifically on the development of social and emotional skills.
  • The use of technology as a support in our program not only enhances the classroom environment but gives parents the opportunity to extend learning into their home.
  • Our focus on Health and Fitness teaches children the importance of healthy food choices and exercise.

These four pillars of our program gives children the tools necessary to succeed in school and in life.

During the school year, we offer a drop off and pick up from a variety of local schools to ensure that your child gets to school on time.  We also offer care for those enrolled during the school year when school is not is session.  We have a fantastic summer program with daily field trips to various museums, parks, businesses and venues in the Omaha and Council Bluffs area.  We have various science experiments to help fuel their curiosity about how things work, art projects to encourage their imagination and cooking projects to encourage them to try new things.
